Explore historical spaces on a walk with HB19 artist Mat Kubo. In this immersive outdoor workshop, story and relationship to place will be explored through structural surfaces, stone work and historic plaques in Honolulu’s Capitol District as Mat Kubo guides participants through the art of rubbing using graphite on velum paper. The walk will start at ‘Iolani Palace, visit the Kamehameha Statue, and end at Kawaiahaʻo Church.
